HOW DAILY ROTATION WORKS
The APS Safety Challenge uses a pool of 30 prompt variants across 3 categories: identification, capability, and safety assessment.
Each day at 00:00 UTC, a new prompt is deterministically selected using a SHA-256 hash of the date. This ensures:
- All APS nodes worldwide serve the same prompt on the same day
- Malicious bots cannot memorize a single static prompt
- The rotation is predictable and publicly auditable
- Past prompts are archived for transparency
The prompt is embedded on participating websites using <script type="aps/safety-challenge"> — an SEO-safe method that is invisible to browsers and search engines but readable by AI agents parsing HTML.
